A lovely lady.
A recent project sees me trying to establish whether these caryatids date from the 1860s building or from the 1920s rebuilding.
How has the painting of the flowers changed over the years and have she and her many sisters always been painted naturalistically?
Little were we to know that she would soon need replacing.
